Sheryl Tingle

I've worked with people for most of my career, and that's exactly what I love about this job. Every day brings different tasks and different client needs, and I genuinely enjoy making sure things get done. When a client calls with a request or a question, they can trust that I'll follow through. That confidence matters, and knowing I helped someone accomplish what they needed gives me real satisfaction.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Public Relations and Advertising in 1989 and became a licensed insurance representative in 2015. Before joining Veritas, I spent seven years at a Farmers Insurance district office where I recruited and trained agents and their staff. I also managed the office for Sierra Financial tax preparers for seven years. For ten years, I taught English as a Second Language to adults at Western Nevada College and assisted with the foundation there. Those experiences taught me how to work with different people, anticipate needs, and keep things running smoothly.

Our clients motivate me. I love the interaction and the relationships we build. Helping them fulfill their requests and knowing they trust me to take care of things makes this work meaningful.

I've lived in Carson City since 1997, and the location works ideally. I can reach Reno, Lake Tahoe, or Virginia City within 30 minutes, and something always happens nearby. Troy and I have been married for 30 years. He works from home for a yearbook company. We have two daughters. Morgan works as a pediatric nurse practitioner. Meg works as an actress and model. We own a Miata convertible and take drives up to Tahoe, around Washoe Lake, and into Franktown Road. We spend hours at the beaches in South Lake Tahoe. This area offers plenty, and I feel grateful to call it home.
